This assignment was a struggle for me, not going to lie. I feel like I tried so many different ideas and absolutely none of them worked out, and these are just the best ones that I got. I eventually ended up going back to the studio to try to fix an idea that I came up with super last minute, and I like it so much better. I took about three hours and just sat in there and messed around with different concepts to get it somewhat close to how I wanted. For the pumpkin photo, I had Carrie hold it in front of her face for a couple of seconds while I strobed her once. After I strobed her I ran over and drew on the face with a lighter. I told her then to put the pumpkin down and take half a step to her left and look at where she had just stood. When she did this I strobed her again and this was the end result. The second picture ended up being one of my practice shots from when I tried to do something at the high school. My original plan was to have someone sit in one of the chairs, but I eventually ran out of time to redo it. It was interesting though because I didn’t realize for some reason that the illuminated posters would show up in the floor tiles, but I like how that part showed up. I also wasn’t sure how to show the lighting set up for the second one, so I just drew it.
