Bounce Flash!

Today's class was really fun. We talked about what we needed to talk about and then we broke into pairs and experimented with bouncing our flash off of walls, ceilings and different objects. In the classroom we pretty much just bounced it off of the wall, but when we got outside Mari and I experimented by bouncing it off of walls, glass, and bike racks. We found the wall worked best but we had fun!
Basically, in order to bounce a flash, you need to point it up to the side and slightly behind you. If the subject can see the actual white part of the flash then it needs to be rotated to avoid direct flash. One thing I didn't realize was that the flash should point whatever way the face is pointing so the light matches the direction you want it to come from.
